Earl Klingsheim
Funeral services for Earl Klingsheim of Spring Valley, MN, formerly of Wykoff, MN, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24 at Valley Christian Center Assembly of God in Spring Valley with Pastors Steve Kuno and Dustin McCaleb co-officiating.
Interment will be in Plesant Hill Cemetery in rural Lime Springs in the spring. Thauwald Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Earl, 87, died Monday, January 20, 2003 at the Spring Valley Care Center.
Earl M. Klingsheim was born February 11, 1915 in rual Lime Springs, the son of Olaf and Bertha (Ness) Klingsheim. He attended rural school in Lime Springs.
On August 20, 1949 he married Hildegarde Hongerholt in Spring Valley. Earl farmed his entire life on his family's farm in rural Lime Springs where he also sold seed corn. The couple retired in 1984 and moved into Wykoff. Hildegarde died November 17, 2000. Earl moved to Spring Valley Estates in November 2001.
Earl was a charter member of the Valley Christian Center Assembly of God in Spring Valley. He was also active in Promise Keepers.
He is survived by two daughters: Gloria Mueller of Marine, MN and Erleen Hartleip of Byron; one son: Galen of Lime Springs; and seven grandchildren.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife Hildegarde; one sister and seven brothers.

Funeral services for Hildegarde Klingsheim of Wykoff, MN were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 20 at the Assemblies of God in Spring Valley. Rev. Steve Kuno officiated. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in rural Lime Springs. Thauwald Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Hildegarde, 73, died Friday, November 17, 2000 at her home in Wykoff.
Hildegarde Klingsheim was born November 29, 1926 in Fillmore County, MN, the daughter of Albert and Gunild (Ingebretson) Hongerholt. She attended rural Fillmore County schools. She worked in Wyzaata, MN for a number of years until her marriage to Earl Klingsheim on August 20, 1949 . in Spring Valley. The couple made their home on Earl's family farm in rural Lime Springs. The couple retired from farming in 1984 and moved to Wykoff where she was a child care provider for area families.
She was a charter member of the Assemblies of God in Spring Valley where she taught Sunday School and was part of the Women's Ministry. She was also a member of the Rainbow Garden Club and the Homemakers in Wykoff.
She loved cooking and gardening.
Survivors include her husband Earl; two daughters: Gloria Mueller of Marine, MN and Erleen Hartleip of Byron; one son: Galen of Lime Springs; seven grandchildren; two brothers: Ingvald of Brooklyn Park, MN and Joseph of Williston, ND; and two sisters: Aletha Carlson of Winona, MN and Helen Raaen of Lanesboro, MN.
Hildegarde was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
