Linda Sharon Winner
GREENE: Linda Sharon Winner, 58, of Greene, passed away Wednesday (Oct. 4, 2006) at her home in Greene. Per her wishes, Linda was cremated.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at the Winner family residence located at 3080 Noble Ave. Greene, IA 50636. Linda is survived by her husband, Charles Winner, of Greene; one son, Chris (Pam) Maklenburg; two daughters, Lori (Alvin) Maklenburg, and Caron (Gary) Scott; six grandchildren, Michael McHenry, John Maklenburg, Sammi Heysquierdo, Brianna Scott, Benjamin Scott, and Kaitlynn Scott.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emily Mihm; one son, James Maklenburg; one brother, and one sister.
Linda Sharon Mihm was born on July 22, 1948, in Austin, Minn. and raised by John and Emily (Klingsheim) Mihm.
She married Charles Winner on Dec. 8, 1973 in Nashua, at The Little Brown Church.
Linda graduated from Cresco High School in Cresco, and attended two years of college.
Memorials may be directed to the Winner family for a memorial of their choice.
Services by the Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa.

Doreen Snow, 85, of Cresco, IA passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Cresco Care Center in Cresco, IA. Gladys Doreen Snow was born in Bristol, England March 26, 1927 to Alfrieda and John Harnell. She married William E. Maklenburg in March 1944. They lived in northeast Iowa and southern Minnesota, raising four children. She married James M. Snow in October 1956 and continued her family with his children, their children, and foster children. Doreen had many interests besides her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, knitting, bird watching, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, traveling, and playing cards with her many friends. She is survived by children: Edwin (Barbara) Maklenburg, Merlin (Glenda) Maklenburg, Linda (Maklenburg) Hyde, Hazel (Maklenburg) Swenson, Dale (Rebecca) Snow, Keith Snow, stepdaughter, Donna (Snow) Bruner, and foster daughter RoxAnn (Raymond) Heim. Included in her family were 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Kenneth Harnell, step-daughter Darlene (Snow) Stauffer, step-sons Jerry and Leroy Snow, son Gary Snow, grandson James Maklenburg, great-granddaughter Kayla Roethler.
Cemetery: Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lime Springs, IA.
