LELAND: Elaine A. Erickson, 70, of Leland, passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, at her home.
She was born Nov. 11, 1939, in Ottawa, the daughter of Emmett and Leona (Classon) Williamson. She married Harry L. Erickson Sr. on Feb. 26, 1957, in Joliet.
Elaine was an active member of St. Petrie Church in Leland. She was employed by St. Joseph Health Resort in Wedron and later at the SueAnne Shoppe in Sandwich for many years. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, her family and spending time with her MHC friends.
She is survived by one son, Harry Erickson, Jr.; two daughters, Pamela Erickson and Sandra (Brent) Dannenberg; three grandchildren, CaLyn, McKena and Gavin Dannenberg; one sister, Jean Ohme, all of Leland; and several nieces and nephews.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Vaughn Williamson.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 30, at St. Petrie Lutheran Church in Leland with the Rev. Gerald L. Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Section Cemetery in rural Marseilles. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk.
