Erickson, age 78, of Plano, Illinois passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2002, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois. She was born on July 5, 1923 in LaSalle County, Illinois, the daughter of Faye and Arlie (Twait) Jacobson. Carol was untied in marriage on July 23, 1949 to Mr. William E. Erickson and they spent many happy years together until his passing in 1986. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Erickson was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Plano. Carol was formerly employed as a bookkeeper by Silica Sand Transport, Inc. in Yorkville, Illinois. She then worked with her husband's general contacting business in Plano, Illinois. Carol will be remembered by her family and friends as a wonderful cook and an avid reader. She is survived by her sons, William (Diana) Erickson of Fishers, Indiana and Tim Erickson of Plano, Illinois; her step-son, David Erickson of Sandwich, Illinois; her grandchildren, Autumn and Amber Erickson both of Plano, Illinois and Zachary Erickson of Genoa, Illinois; her sister, Jeanne (Fred) Henderson of Adrian, Michigan; and her sister-in-law, Jane Jacobson of Plano, Illinois; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Faye and Arlie Jacobson; her husband, Bill Erickson; her granddaughter, Kelsey Erickson; and her brother, James A. Jacobson. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2002 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Plano, Illinois. Interment will follow in the Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, Illinois. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday, January 28, 2002 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 W. South St. In Plano, Illinois.
