Susan L. Arnesen, 63, passed away in the comfort of her home on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012.
Susan died much as she lived, with love and courage. Her loving family and community of friends miss her so. We draw inspiration and strength from a beautiful and selfless woman who inspired all who knew her. She married Craig E. Arnesen on Jan. 23, 1986. Susan and Craig had lived in Kenilworth, IL for 25 years before moving to Quechee, VT in April of 2010. She was born on May 7, 1948 in Evanston, IL and graduated from Niles East High School in Skokie, IL in 1966. In 1970, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Susan most recently worked for Summit Funding Group, Cincinnati, OH as Business Development Officer. She devoted 29 years to a career in medical equipment leasing. She enjoyed walking, yoga, reading and cooking.
She leaves her husband Craig of 26 years; her mother Bernice (Wolfe) Levy; and stepfather Bert of Boca Raton, FL; mother-in-law Patricia Arnesen of Cary IL; sister-in-laws, Karen Arnesen, Kimberly Arnesen, Kristen Shepherd and husband Preston; brother-in-laws Kent Arnesen and Ronald Kint; siblings, Suzie Evans and husband Arthur, Brandy Miller and husband Steven, Stace Solotorosky and husband Julian, Rick Fizdale and wife Suzanne, Richard Fizdale, numerous cousins, many loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Aaron Gordon and stepmother Berenice Gordon of Chicago, IL and sister-in-law Claudia Kint of Beverly, IL.
There will be no calling hours or services locally at this time. A memorial service and interment will be announced later in the spring for Memorial Park, Skokie, IL.
