Alice J. Kahler, age 86, passed away on Saturday November 10, 2018.
Survived by her brothers; George (Betty) Duvall and Norman Duvall. Her nieces; Hazel (Stewart) Anderson, Rachael Duvall, Debbie Beldon, Kim Duvall, Stephanie Duvall and LeeAnn Goodwin. Also survived by numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband Elmer J. Kahler; her parents, Ernest (Ione) Duvall and a brother John Duvall.
Alices passion in life was her teaching career. Alice began teaching at the Downers Grove school district and later taught at Sandwich Elementary school. She retired as a 3rd grader teacher from Minooka Grade School. She loved the outdoors and gardening. Although she didnt grow many different plants, she could tell you what any plant was.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m.
