HAMILTONDonna Marie (Merrill) Haley-White, 79, long time resident of Hamilton, died Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospice Center. She was born October 24, 1937 in St. Paul, MN.
Donna moved to Hamilton with her late husband, John in the early 1990's. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and a member of several other organizations. Donna was an active volunteer at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital where she brightened so many days with her cheerful smile, colorful hats and her special candy dish. She loved the staff, along with all the volunteers and patients at Marcus Daly. Not only did she volunteer at the information desk, she also came quite often to sit with patients that were in the Hospice Center just so they would not have to be alone. Anytime day or night, Donna was happy to be there.
Donna loved her community which brought her to also be an active volunteer at the local Chamber of Commerce. Each year she looked forward to "Sprinkle Pink" and would go around the Bitterroot Valley collecting donations for the event. If there was a way she could help her community she was going to do it.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Haley, Sr.; her husband, Harold "Gene" White and 6 children, Michael, Gregg Steven, Mark, Mary Jo, Johnny and David. She is survived by her children, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
