Helga E. Zepeda, 91, of Davenport, Iowa went home to the Lord on Monday, July 31, 2023.
There will be no services. She will be laid to rest at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
Helga was born daughter to William and Margareta (Schudze) Korn on August 20, 1931 in Bernburg, Germany. She retired from Brammer Manufacturing after 25 years of dedicated service. She was married to Sonny L. Egger and later divorced. She then married Martin Zepeda, Sr. on April 3, 1971 in Bettendorf, Iowa and they went onto share 46 years together before his passing in 2017.
She was social, outgoing, and giving - to a fault. She enjoyed sending American gifts back to her relatives in Bernburg, Germany. She was a lifelong Elvis Presley fan and she loved to travel and have coffee and cake with her friends.
She is survived by her children, Pete (Heidi) Egger, James (Pam) Zepeda, and Martin (Becky) Zepeda, Jr.; step-daughter, Connie Escarria; siblings in Bernburg, Germany; grandchild, Michele Walsh; and great-grandchild, Rylee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and stepson, Joey Zepeda.
