I landeierregister for Osceola County i 1958 finn me: både Jake og broren James/Jim: Jake Bustad: Sib. 2, E.H.,15-R. Jim Bustad: Och. 1, Och., 2-O
Dei siste åra hadde Thelma i Ingham Lake, Wallingford, Emmet County i Iowa.
Me finn Thelma i Iowa-avis der ho kommenterer nøtteknekkeren vist av Joffrey Ballet (The Daily Iowan 11 Des 1987, side 1 - http://dailyiowan.lib.uiowa.edu/DI/1987/di1987-12-11.pdf)
Kanskje familie til Thelma f. Besgrove.

Jake Bustad, Jr., of Cherokee Village, died March 2, 2013, in his home in Cherokee Village, Arkansas, at the age of 85.
He was born March 24, 1928, in Melvin, Iowa. He was the son of Jacob and JoAnna Johnson Bustad.
He is survived by Thelma Jean Besgrove Bustad. They were married on December 19, 1944, in Sibley, Iowa. They took care of each other for 66 years, raising a family. Jake has been heard to claim that he "had a long life and it was a good one."
Jake served in the United States Air Force Reserves, stationed at Alexander Air Force Base, in Louisiana during the early 1950's. He lived and owned a Toyota Dealership in Iowa City, Iowa from the early 1960's through the mid 1980's. He was an avid golfer ( almost good enough to have been a pro), and a long time supporter of Iowa Hawkeye's (enthusiastically cheering the team on from the stands). He was a member and generous contributor to the Iowa City Methodist Church. and after retiring to Cherokee Village, in the United Methodist Church in Cherokee village. Community was important to him. He was a man of integrity and respected everywhere he lived and worked. He actively supported community betterment efforts. He loved, and, was well loved and admired by friends, neighbors, and members of the community.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Eugene, Jim, Vernon and Joe (The Busted Brothers), and beloved sisters Leona Huisenga and Carrie Kleve.
Their spouses and his numerous nephews and nieces, were closely connected to him. He loved them dearly, and they loved him as well. Family was his priority in life. His wife was the love of his life. His daughter, Becky Horton and son, Brad Busted, were blessed with a father who was kind, loving, generous and supportive. He loved his grand-children, Travis Stevens and Jacob Horton, with great devotion and pride. His great grandchildren, Kaylee and Jacob Horton, were a pleasure and joy to him, in the last years of his life.
He passed his family values to them all, through his actions in life: teaching them to stand by each other; modeling honesty, tolerance, forgiveness; setting an example that will not be forgotten. The guidance he provided and sacrifices made for the benefit of his family continued to the very end of his life, and will persist beyond his years. Jake will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Jake's life was held at Cedar Valley Park. Heath Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
