All Klingsheim’s and Klingshei’s have their name from the farm Klingshei in Sola municipality in Rogland county. And they can all trace their ancestor to one of the two given families:
1) Ola Persen (1779 - 1853) og Ingeborg Bendikdsdatter (1811- 1863)
- the couple were the first self owning farmers at Klingshei
- Ola Persen’s grandchild - Alfred Klingsheim (1880 – 1969) - my great grand father
2) Andreas Martinius Jensson (1863 - 1933) og Nilsine Enoksdatter (1874 - 1949)
- farmers at bruk 6 at Klingshei.
Of the 444 Klingshei(m)’s I’ve found, about half of us have been living in America/USA
